More Love From Great Grandma Joyce

New parents, Brandon and Candi, of Port Byron, Illinois, were thrilled to be expecting, and quickly discovered they were having twins! Unexpectedly, the babies, Lindsay and Ty, were born 15 weeks early on July 5, 2006, thus becoming part of an elite group of only 1% of babies who are born before 28 weeks. You can imagine with Lindsay weighing only 1 lb. 12 oz. and Ty at 1 lb. 6 oz. that these two babies needed 24-hour medical care and lots of prayers.

Notice the ring on the arm of the baby!

It was a true blessing when Lindsay was released 4 months later, and Ty finally came home after 14 months in the hospital. Once home, he still needed constant medical care. Thank heaven for a loving family and Trinity's Homecare program for it took tremendous dedication to provide the specialized care needed for these little angels. Great Grandma Joyce was there to lend a loving hand, babysit, and even give a new home to the family pet, Tequila, for health reasons. This GiGi did whatever she could to assist with the care of the babies and over the hard-working parents as well.

Today, it is pure joy for the family to watch as Lindsay and Ty run around-healthy and happy. As they look back on everything they've been through, they feel very blessed. They know if was only with prayer and unconditional love from family that they can finally rejoice and look to the future, which is good - the twins turned 4 this summer!
