MeeMaw Camp By Donna Hamrick

Summer brings about warm weather, mosquitos, sunscreen, and vacations. When asked one of their favorite summer happenings, our grandchildren, Madison and Cade will answer in unison...MEEMAW'S CAMP!

At this camp, every hour of the day or night is devoted to them and what they enjoy doing. Prior to their visit, a list is comprised as what they would like to do. They enjoy helping Papa (Grandpa Bob) train the beagles in the field and then feed and water them. We go swimming, fishing, ride paddle boats, play baseball, create crafts, soccer, etc... A foosball tournament is always a must on their last day.

Some days are reserved for the Children's Museum and local zoo. If there is a special play or movie they want to see, then that is what we do. Of course, we have to make time to eat at some of their favorite places, such as Whitey's and Steak n' Shake. On one day Madison cooks (with MeeMaw's help) the family dinner using her own cook book. Whenever Madison and MeeMaw go shopping, Cade and Papa head for lunch at the local Maid-rite or hit balls at our driving range. We always take time to visit some relatives especially great grandmas, aunts and uncles.

Best of all after this great week is over, they know that whatever happens at MeeMaw's Camp...stays at MeeMaw's Camp. Our motto is and always be "At MeeMaw's We CAN!!!
